ELx405 Plate Washer
The ELx405 (BioTek, now Agilent) is a microplate washer for 96 and 384-well plates. Programmable wash cycles, configurable dispense / aspirate manifolds, and reagent dispensing for plate-based assays.
Supported methods
Section titled “Supported methods”- Wash cycle — execute a named wash programme
- Dispense — bulk reagent dispense from one of the reagent channels
- Aspirate — remove well contents to the waste line
- Status query — current step, reagent levels, error state
Integration
Section titled “Integration”Revolution drives the ELx405 through BioTek’s Liquid Handling Control (LHC) automation API. Programmes are designed in LHC and referenced by name. Reagent and waste levels are monitored so a run can pause cleanly when consumables are low instead of failing mid-cycle.
