Agilent Ambient Storage
Agilent ships several ambient-temperature plate exchange and storage devices, all driven through the same Revolution device class:
- MiniHub — small-footprint plate carousel for buffer storage
- PlateExchange — plate handoff between devices, typically used as a router
- PlateHub — larger-capacity ambient storage with random access
Supported methods
Section titled “Supported methods”- Load — accept a plate from a configured handoff position
- Unload — present a plate by ID
- Inventory — return the current plate map
- Position rotate — explicit rotation to a named slot for diagnostics
Integration
Section titled “Integration”Revolution drives Agilent ambient storage through the VWorks automation API. The plate map is mirrored to Revolution’s Storage Manager so the schedule editor can reference plates by barcode without polling the device.
