KUKA
KUKA ships a range of 6-axis arms suitable for lab automation, from the compact KR3 / KR4 AGILUS to the collaborative LBR Med (a medical-graded variant of the LBR iiwa). Payloads from 3 kg to 14 kg cover most plate-handling and small-instrument-tending use cases.
Supported methods
Section titled “Supported methods”- Pick / place — move plates and labware between configured deck positions
- Move to — drive to any named pose
- Gripper control — open / close, with force feedback on collaborative models
- Joint / linear / spline motion — pick the motion type per move
- Safe-pose / home — return to parked configuration
Integration
Section titled “Integration”Revolution drives KUKA arms through KRL / KUKAVarProxy or the LBR’s Sunrise FRI API depending on the controller. Poses are taught in KUKA Sim / Sunrise Workbench and referenced by name from Revolution schedules. Force-controlled handoffs are exposed as method parameters on the LBR Med driver.
