DeCapper (Hamilton LabElite)
The LabElite DeCapper (Hamilton) is an automated screw-cap decapper for sample tubes. Supports a range of tube formats and cap types — including SBS-format racks of cryotubes commonly used in biobanking workflows.
Supported methods
Section titled “Supported methods”- Decap rack — remove caps from a rack of tubes in one pass
- Recap rack — reapply caps from the parking position
- Single tube decap / recap — by rack position
- Status query — rack occupancy, error state
Integration
Section titled “Integration”Revolution drives the LabElite through Hamilton’s Venus protocol — the same runtime used for the Microlab family. Cap-park positions are managed by the device and reported back so Revolution’s Storage Manager always knows which tubes are open.
