KingFisher
The KingFisher family (Thermo Fisher) is a magnetic particle processor used for nucleic acid and protein extraction. Common models supported: KingFisher Apex, Flex, and Duo Prime — 24-well or 96-well processing depending on configuration.
Supported methods
Section titled “Supported methods”- Run protocol — execute a named BindIt protocol from the device library
- Stop / abort — graceful interruption with magnet park
- Status query — current step, remaining time, temperature
Integration
Section titled “Integration”Revolution drives the KingFisher through its USB control protocol — protocols are pre-loaded onto the device via BindIt software, and Revolution dispatches them by ID. Plate handoff is coordinated with the configured mover.
